In spite of concerns from Human Rights organizations on the critical state of Ayatollah Boroujerdi and his physician’s emphasis on his immediate need for treatment, the Ministry of Information informed Ayatollah Boroujerdi that his exile sentence will be executed promptly.
Security forces threatened to kill Ayatollah Boroujerdi, violating their promise of “stopping his exile sentence,” and have informed Ayatollah Boroujerdi that he and four of his followers will be exiled to specified places.
In executing the exile sentence, Boroujerdi will be exiled to Yazd for ten years, Masoud Samavatiyan to Khoramabad prison for five years, Alireza Montazer-Saheb to Kermanshah prison for four years, Habib Quvati to Hamedan prison for four years, and Majid Alasti to Zanjan prison for four years.
It is worthy to note that security forces, as a reply to Ayatollah Boroujerdi's protest, said the reason of executing his exile sentence, contrary to prior promises, is Boroujerdi’s recent interview and his lack of cooperation with them.
